Proportion Detective

Grade 7 · Unit 1 · Lesson 1 · 7.G.A.1 — same shape, different size

One of the four figures is a true scale copy of the original — every side was multiplied by the same scale factor. The rest are impostors.

  1. Pick the figure that is proportional to the original.
  2. Type the scale factor that turns the original into your pick.
  3. Miss a case and it closes — you get a fresh case for that same question, worth up to 3 points instead of 5.
  4. Crack 5 questions to finish. Each is worth 5 points — 2 for the figure, 3 for the scale factor.

Case 1
